Halloween. One of the coolest holidays in my opinion. “Everyday is Halloween” though, if you really want it to be. I recently heard about a project involving a wallet USB. After I read/watched information about the process, I decided to do it myself. It is cheaper than $15.00 – I picked up 2 wallet USB’s for $12.00 on Amazon. Once they came in I installed the Linux OS entitled Tails. It’s a Linux distro that runs directly from the USB on any computer that will allow you to boot from USB. What does that even mean? It means that you can load this up and your tracks are erased, as the USB does not store any info. It’s built specifically for anonymity – and so far I love it. I’ve used Tails in the past but not for the reason of this project. So after you get the install done, you reboot loading from USB. Once Tails loads – you add a password. After you add the password – we should be able to access the computers local files. I don’t know if it works on every computer – or if there are requirements to make this work. I will be adding a full step-by-step walkthrough on this subject (with infographics). Even if the intended trick doesn’t work – you have a completely anonymous OS you can access from any computer – without having to use a password. The Tails interface is simple and does not contain much. I’d compared the GUI (graphical user interface) to that of MacOS – it’s really smooth.
